Lost Boy is compelling…. I cannot convey how inspired I have been as I searched my own life as a mother … thinking of things I could have done and things I should not have done. These words spoken in the film are still resonating in my mind and heart… The life you lived as a child has brought you to where you are now. It is time for me to let go of some resentments with my birthmother and with a friend who did me wrong. I appreciate the film’s truthfulness, directness, and transparency as it tells us what God wants from us. (Posted on 11/19/10)

I got a chance to see Lost Boy, The Next Chapter last night. And I could relate to it. I have a son who is 14 and is somewhat of a lost boy. After watching your movie, I began to cry. It made me realize so much. We think we are the only ones going through whatever we’re going through, and as a mother we sometimes think our kids are the only ones going through whatever they’re going through. I just want to thank you for sharing your story; it has spoken to me in so many ways.

Lost Boy is really an amazing example of how God works through the lives of others to reveal Himself. Greg Laurie's life story, and what he went through to bring him where he is today, is truly and act of God. Lost Boy is great for all to see and I believe will minister to all who view it! Your story really touched me because I was a little "lost girl," growing up with a violent alcoholic father and a mother with an 8th grade education trying to put food on the table. But God saved me at a very young age and has kept His Hand upon my life much as he has yours. I have not suffered the death of a son but a son who inherited the genetic tendencies of my family who became an alcoholic and drug addict. My heart has been broken but God is redeeming his life ... slowly but surely. Thank you for sharing your heart, your story and your steadfastness despite the pain you have endured. After watching your movie and hearing you speak, I began to cry. It made me realize so much. We think we are the only ones going through whatever were going through, and as a mother we sometimes think our kids are the only ones going through whatever there going through. I just want to thank you for sharing your story, it has spoken to me in so many ways.

I pray that your story will reach many “Lost Boys” and lead them HOME.

Lost Boy, for me, had a bitter-sweet ending. There will always be pain and painful memories while here on earth, in this tent of flesh. The LORD does give beauty for ashes and joy for mourning and nothing compares to His unfailing love. It will never be perfect until we see Him and are with Him for all eternity. So, Pastor Greg Laurie is a perfect example of what to do while we’re here on this earth. And that is to connect with this dying generation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through our testimony no matter what we have or haven’t been through. Someone out there needs to hear it.

I once was lost, but now I’m found…was blind, but now I see.
